We are gearing up for the 14th Annual Old Princethorpians Vs College Sports Day (and 16th John Shinkwin Trophy Match) on Saturday 30 August 2025.
This fun, family-friendly event serves as a fantastic farewell to summer and hello to the new academic year, and is a great opportunity for the Class of 2025 to meet and play with other members of the Old Princethorpian community.
There will be music throughout the day, and a BBQ, ice cream van and subsidised bar (serving cold beers and prosecco) will be available, with players receiving a voucher for a complimentary food and drink item.
We are keen to have a good number of OPs, from any year, to join the leavers of 2025 in playing against the College teams. If you are interested in participating in any of the fixtures, please complete the short online form here ASAP, or by Tuesday 26 August at the latest.
You are of course welcome to come as a spectator and cheer from the sidelines, in which case please register via the button above so that we can cater accordingly.
As in previous years, points will be accumulated throughout the day, with the Alex Wallis Memorial Shield being awarded to the victors at the end of the day.

10.30am to 11.45am Football OPs vs Staff
11.45am to 12.45pm Hockey Princethorpe College Mixed Team vs OPs XI
12.45pm to 1.45pm Netball Princethorpe College 1st VII Girls vs OPs VII
2.00pm to 3.30pm Rugby - John Shinkwin Trophy - Princethorpe College 1st XV Boys vs OPs XV (leavers of 2025 and 2024)
3.45pm - After Match Awards by the BBQ
