Supporting talented children to attend Princethorpe is central to our mission and ethos. Princethorpe has a long tradition of providing bursarial support to families with limited means and our aim now is to build up our bursary fund so that more pupils may benefit for years to come from all the opportunities that Princethorpe has to offer, no matter what their background or financial means.

Every year we are faced with more applications for assisted places than we can offer. Once a pupil has been awarded an Annual Fund Bursary it’s not just the school fees we cover, we may also provide financial help with uniform, trips and extra-curricular activities.
The Annual Fund Bursary helps us to realise our ambition to accept a greater number of pupils who we feel would benefit from a Princethorpe education, regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
With the help of the Annual Fund Bursary, we will be able to offer these children a varied curriculum, alongside an extra-curricular programme that supports all pupils to realise their true potential not only in the classroom, but way beyond their time here.
The Tower Bursary
The Tower Bursary is funded exclusively through a Deposit Sacrifice Scheme, where families agree to donate their original deposits rather than have them returned.
Our ambition is to fully fund two places each year via this fund. In order to do this, we need the vast majority of Upper Sixth families to support the fund each year. This fund will help us have a full and diverse mix of pupils at Princethorpe, without discrimination due to their financial background, and it is our hope that in the future we will be able to support even more pupils with their fees through the Tower Bursary.

The Priory Bursary is funded exclusively by donations from staff and former staff of the Princethorpe Foundation.
