This year's OPs Local Meet resulted in a bumper turnout of OPs, current and former parents and members of staff, at the quirky and cosy Micro Pug on Clemens Street, Leamington Spa. There were OPs from every decade of the College's history, from 1966 to 2024, and including alumni of St Bede's, St Joseph’s and Crackley Hall.
It was marvellous to see such a diverse crowd mingling together, along with members of the OPs Committee (Ed Hunter, Nick Brosnan, Toni Reszka, Tom Gleghorn, Eddie Tolcher, Melanie Butler, Steve Kowal and Eddie Tolcher) and Princethorpe legends, Mr Darkes, Mr Hester, Mr McCullough and Mr McCollin. The former pupils in attendance were also delighted to catch up with former longserving members of staff, Mr White, Mr Taylor, and Mr Morgan.
The Micro Pug was a perfect setting for this relaxed and jovial occasion, with the excellent bar service and tasty buffet fuelling the conversation right up until closing time. Alumni Relations and Development Officer, Caroline Spencer, comments "Our Local Meets are always popular and attract a good crowd, cementing existing friendships and forging new ones. It was particularly special this year to witness leavers of 2024 chatting to a couple of OPs from amongst the first Princethorpe pupils in 1966, and comparing their experiences of life at Princethorpe."
The next alumni event in the calendar is the St Joseph’s Day Mass at Crackley Hall School on Wednesday 19 March, followed by the popular Bluebells and Brunch on Saturday 10 May at Princethorpe. Why not check out the full calendar of events on our Princethorpe Connect Events page and sign up?
