It was wonderful to welcome illustrator, OP Tabitha Marsh (Class of 2014), to our Foundation Prep School, Crackley Hall, on Friday 7 March. A former Crackley Hall and Princethorpe College alumni, Tabitha returned to Crackley to take part in the school’s celebrations for this year’s World Book Day.
Tabitha specialises in ink and watercolour drawings and is the current resident illustrator at Kenilworth Books. As well as illustrating books she also designs logos. Crackley Hall teachers, Ms Holmes and Mrs Lammas both remembered Tabitha well and were delighted to catch up with their former pupil.
Tabitha first talked to the pupils in assembly about her work as an illustrator, sharing how her love of drawing and insatiable drive to doodle all over her schoolbooks, led to her studying Fine Art at Lancaster University.
Across the day, Tabitha worked with pupils in Key Stage 2 delivering step-by-step drawing workshops helping them to produce their own illustrations. The children really enjoyed her visit engaging in the workshops well and producing some incredible pictures.
A huge thank you to Tabitha for supporting the school. You can find out more about her work on her website here.
