Princethorpe Connect – A Spirit of Family in difficult times

23 Mar 2020
School News
As many of you will already know, like all other schools, Princethorpe College has had to close to most pupils until further notice. We are staying open with a skeleton staff to help look after the children of key workers, who are doing a fantastic job keeping the country going in extremely difficult circumstances. Our teachers are delivering a digital timetable and pupils are continuing their learning from home.

As we all adjust to a change in routines over the coming months it is more important than ever that people stay in touch, talk, communicate and share with each other. Whilst families social distance, self-isolate, work from home and sensibly follow the government advice, we want people to remember that Princethorpe’s ‘Spirit of Family’ well and truly continues. Our Princethorpe Community – for both current parents and pupils - as well as Old Princethorpians (which includes alumni, former parents, as well as former staff, including those from St. Mary’s Priory) is there to support everyone.

Although we never could have envisioned Princethorpe Connect would be used to keep people in touch in these circumstances, we now have over 400 online members, and we hope everyone may take a moment to reach out, send a message, and connect with someone that they haven’t spoken to for a while, or someone they’ve been meaning to contact, but haven’t managed to find the time.

As much as possible, we will also do our best to keep in touch with you and share news and stories with our extended community.
