Looking ahead to the upcoming academic year, the Development Office at The Princethorpe Foundation is focused on three key initiatives aimed at supporting our community and enhancing educational opportunities for all pupils.
1. Hardship Fund Appeal: Supporting Pupils in Need
As we prepare for the addition of VAT to school fees, we understand the financial challenges this may pose for some families, particularly those with students in Upper Sixth and pupils in Year 11. Our goal is to raise £75,000 through our hardship fund appeal. This fund will provide essential support to ensure that no pupil faces the prospect of leaving school prematurely due to financial difficulties. Contributions will directly impact the lives of our pupils and help maintain continuity in their education during critical exam years.
2. Bursaries: Broadening Access to Education
Ensuring that a Princethorpe education is accessible to pupils from diverse backgrounds remains a cornerstone of our mission. Our aim is to support ten pupils with fully paid places at Princethorpe through donations to our bursary program. These bursaries will enable talented and deserving pupils to benefit from our exceptional educational environment, regardless of their financial circumstances. By expanding access to education, we strive to foster a community that celebrates diversity and promotes excellence in learning.
3. Sports Capital Campaign: Enhancing our Sporting Facilities
We are looking at ways we can enhance our sports facilities and expanding opportunities for sporting development. Our ambitious projects include the construction of a new Hockey Astroturf Pitch, a state-of-the-art 4G Football/Rugby Pitch, a modern sports hall, a sports pavilion with upgraded changing rooms, and a dedicated equestrian arena. These initiatives would not only elevate our sports programmes but also enrich the overall pupil experience by promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The immediate priority of our Sports Campaign is to raise £250,000 to resurface our current Hockey Astroturf Pitch, ensuring that our pupils and community can continue to benefit from a safe and playable facility. If you are able to support this appeal either through an individual or corporate donation or corporate sponsorship we would love to hear from you, so please do get in touch with me at stevekowal@princethorpe.co.uk.
Support for any of these initiatives, either personal or through corporate support and sponsorship will make a significant difference in the lives of our pupils and contribute to the continued growth and success of The Princethorpe Foundation. Together, we can create a supportive and inclusive environment where every pupil has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and athletically.
More information will be shared soon on how you can get involved and help us achieve these important goals. By working together we can build a brighter future for our pupils and our community.
