The Old Princethorpians Committee is made up of a dedicated group of alumni who generously give their time and energy to support the Foundation, its schools and its wider community. Representing a wide range of year groups, backgrounds and professions, our committee members help to shape the alumni experience — from organising events and reunions, to offering career support, fundraising advice, and strategic insight.
Together, they champion the spirit of The Princethorpe Foundation and play a vital role in helping us build a connected, inclusive and supportive network of former pupils, parents and staff.
A former Crescent and Princethorpe pupil, Laura works in the food industry leading grocery sales at Manilife. With a passion for sport and hospitality, she brings her energy and warmth to alumni events and engagement.
Former pupil and parent of Princethorpe College, Nigel is passionate about supporting the committee to achieve its aims. He shares his 20+ years of experience as a Growth Marketing Consultant to guide our strategy for communications and connectivity.
Nick is founder and CEO of Proactive Young People, an education company that supports young people aged 8 to 24 in building their employability skills. Enhanced by his perspective as a past pupil and current parent, Nick brings his knowledge and experience of this sector to develop the committee's Careers activity.
A bespoke vehicle consultant working with elite global clients at JLR, Chris brings marketing and business expertise to the committee, helping strengthen alumni connections and inclusivity.
With over 50 years’ connection to the College as a pupil and member of staff at Princethorpe College, Alex brings a unique depth of knowledge and affection to the committee. Now Archivist Emeritus, he supports engagement and events, helping to preserve and share the Princethorpe story.
Having served on the OP Committee for a number of years, as a former pupil and current parent, James took on the role of Chairperson in September 2024. He draws on his extensive experience and insights, as former CEO of Wigley Investment Holdings Ltd., to lead the committee in serving our Old Princethorpian community.
Nigel is Senior Teaching Fellow and Director of Student Experience at the University of Warwick's School of Engineering. His wealth of experience in the education sector and passion for working with young people inform his contributions to the OP Committee, particularly in relation to careers engagement.
As a former Princethorpe pupil, and current parent and member of staff at Princethorpe, Tom is highly invested in serving the OP community, having joined the committee in September 2024. He lends his unique perspective and enthusiasm to the committee in support of development projects and philanthropy across the Foundation.
Peter has a long association with Princethorpe, having been both a parent and a long-serving member of staff. He has served on the OP Committee for many years and is particularly passionate about furthering our OP reach and engagement through events and hospitality.
Former Princethorpe pupil, Ed, brings his creativity, contacts and experience as a business leader to support the committee's events and engagement activity. He currently works for customer data OS, BlueConic, and is also Director of McPherson Rose Developments, a family-owned property development company.
Lottie is a former pupil of Princethorpe College and former staff member at Crackley Hall who now runs two successful childcare franchises. Passionate about the power of networking, she champions careers and volunteering through the committee.
Recently retired from a 54-year career in Industrial Automation, Toni is passionate about channelling his wealth of knowledge and experience into the work of the OP Committee, particularly in relation to careers. He has counselled many young people in their career development over the years, and is highly motivated to "give something back" to support OPs too.
Peter served as Chairman on the OP Committee for many years. As a former Princethorpe pupil and parent himself, he continues to play an active role in the committee, championing greater engagement of, and connection between, the Foundation's OPs and current families.
Melissa is a healthcare professional with a PhD. in Psychology, and is a Senior Lecturer in Oncology at Northampton University. She has served on the committee for a number of years and is dedicated to supporting and growing the OP careers activity.
Eddie has a close and long-standing association with the Foundation. Not only is he a former Crescent pupil and former Princethorpe pupil himself, but he is also Clerk to the Trustees - a position to which he transitioned after concluding his 16-year service, at the end of 2024, as Foundation Bursar. Eddie has been a member of the OP Committee since its inception and continues to dedicate his expertise faithfully in the areas of Development and Philanthropy.
Mary was a St Mary's Priory pupil from 1956 to 1961, and went on to run her own garden and flower shop for 30 years before retiring. Despite being incredibly busy indulging her passions for bowling and travelling the world, she remains a faithful advocate for Princethorpe, enthusiastically serving on the committee to increase engagement through events and hospitality.
Now a Project Manager at Barclays Corporate Bank, Libby is passionate about connectivity and inclusion. She brings fresh energy to the committee, helping alumni stay linked to the Princethorpe family.
