Our popular London Meet moves this September to the upstairs function room at a unique city centre pub with a rich history, The Clachan, on Friday 27 September from 6.00pm to 10.30pm.
Described as 'your local pub in London', the The Clachan is perfectly located on Kingly Street, a little street behind the iconic Libertys, just off Regent Street, and only a brief stroll to the likes of Carnaby Street, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus and the ever bustling Soho.
Nicholsons' pubs are known for their individual style, exciting stories, and charming personalities; The Clachan is no exception. Built in 1898, this pub boasts many of its original Victorian features, including rich wood carvings and structural ironwork. It served as the local for the firemen of Station No.12 and the police officers of the Special Constable Reserve in King Street.
As ever, the Old Princethorpians Committee will be laying on some delicious, complimentary food and of course a welcome drink or two for all those attending. Our London Meets are always popular, sociable affairs, with OPs from across the generations mixing and networking happily together.
If you would like to attend please RSVP via the registration button above by Friday 20 September 2024.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering, ‘Clachan’ is Gaelic for ‘meeting place’.
