How to get the most out of Princethorpe Connect

Getting The Most Out Of Princethorpe Connect – Our New Community Platform

To get the most out of Princethorpe Connect, our brand new alumni portal – follow the steps below. Through Princethorpe Connect you can connect with other alumni, read and share news articles, publish photographs, sign up for upcoming events, order merchandise and access exclusive content.

  • Visit https://connect.princethorpe.co.uk/ to sign up and create your online profile.

  •  You’ll need to answer a few questions upon registration to link to your alumni record.
  • You’ll also need to select your communications options – this tells us about how you would like to be contacted by us in the future. You can change these options through privacy settings at any time.

  • Complete / update your profile – it’s important to ensure your profile is as complete as possible, especially if you want other alumni to be able to find you easily.

  • Hover over your name (top right) and Click ‘Edit Profile´. On your profile page click on the wheel cog to edit/update the relevant sections then click ‘Update’ to save. Don’t forget to upload a photo by clicking the camera in the photo space.

  • Check your settings for privacy by hovering over your name (top right) and click ‘My settings’.

  • Connect with other members by clicking the ‘Network’ tab and based on your profile the site will suggest people you may know. The more complete your profile, the more relevant the suggestions will be. You can scroll left or right through this section and click on relevant members to view and send them a message or a connection request.

  • If this section is empty then that means we can’t find any people you may know based on your profile details. Instead you have the option to send invitations to friends by email by clicking on the link. Alternatively, you can search for people using the search box.

  • Register for an event by clicking on the ‘Events’ tab from the home screen to view a list of upcoming events, click on the event, then click on the sign-up button to register.

  • View exclusive photos by clicking on the ‘Photos’ tab from the home screen. We will be uploading more and more photos from the Princethorpe Archives as well as pictures from recent events.

  • We want everybody to get involved to make this network buzz with activity and interesting content. We want you to share your own stories. Firstly, you can comment on the News articles that we post, just go to the bottom of the article and press the ‘Post a comment’ button. If you like an article why not share it on Facebook or Twitter using the buttons on the right-hand side of the article.

  • If you want to submit a story to us for consideration, click the ‘Share News’ button from the News section, and type in your article and upload and image and click ‘Submit’. We will then approve the story where appropriate and it will be posted to the rest of the Princethorpe Connect community.

  • You can also buy merchandise by clicking ‘Shop’ and order exclusive Old Princethorpians merchandise including; scarves, socks, ties, cufflinks, badges and our Golden Jubilee book - A Spirit of Family: The First Fifty Years of Princethorpe College.
