It was wonderful to welcome back the OP Committee on Tuesday 15 September for their first meeting of this academic year. Why not get to know your OP Committee representatives a little better? To view their profiles, visit Princethorpe Connect's Network page.

There was a full agenda and plenty of good cheer, as the committee set ambitious targets for the year ahead and selected the winners of our 2026 Old Princethorpian awards: the Alumni Award and the new OP Staff Award. We will be announcing the award winners during the ceremony at Princethorpe College's Prizegiving on Friday 20 November, so keep an eye out for the subsequent public announcements on social media and Princethorpe Connect.

The committee established exciting plans to enhance OP activity and engagement for the Diamond Jubilee year ahead. These include:

• Growing the Princethorpe Connect Business Directory, giving OP-led businesses more visibility and support across the OP community (see Business Directory)
• Launching the 60 Futures Appeal to increase Bursary support (see Support Us)
• Securing 60 speakers for the upcoming Jubilee Career Insights event in March; the more OPs the better!
• Inviting OP musicians to participate in the Princethorpe College Spring Concert, taking place at Birmingham Conservatoire
