Message from the Chair of Trustees

At the end of this Michaelmas Term my term as Chair of Trustees will be complete. As I reflect on what we have accomplished together over the past years I am filled with immense gratitude and pride.  Leading the Board of Trustees and working closely with the Foundation's Executive and staff across our three schools and nursery has been a profoundly rewarding experience.

One of the highlights of my tenure was the opening of our new Science Centre, a milestone that will undoubtedly inspire future generations of pupils. We have also made significant strides in supporting our pupils by increasing the number of bursaries and scholarships, ensuring that more young minds can benefit from the excellent educational experiences we offer.

In a significant development, we welcomed Crescent School into our Foundation, enhancing our educational reach and impact. Across all our schools, we have made meaningful improvements, elevating the quality of education and experience. We have also seen significant development of the Crackley Hall buildings and campus in that time.

My connection to Princethorpe College runs deep - both as a former teacher and as a proud parent, with two of our three children, Christopher and James, having attended the College. My husband, Peter, who served as Deputy Head for many years and is fondly remembered by many former pupils, also dedicated a significant part of his career to the College. Our family's bond with Princethorpe has been a deeply enriching experience.

As I hand over the reins, I am excited for the future of the Foundation. We aim to further support our pupils by expanding our bursary provision. Even small, regular donations can make a huge impact, helping us provide essential opportunities for those in need. Additionally, we are committed to greatly improving our already excellent sporting facilities, which will enhance our pupils' experiences and achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to each of you for your generous support. Your contributions have made a tangible difference in the lives of our pupils and the quality of our schools. However, there is still much more to be done. With your continued support, we can amplify these achievements and continue to create opportunities and excellence in education.

Although I am stepping down, my commitment to the Foundation remains. I will continue to support and be involved with our community in any way I can. Thank you for your support and for making all our accomplishments possible.

With warmest regards,

Liz Griffin
